All water level, temperature, and flow data on US Water Levels is sourced from the United States Geological Survey (USGS) through their public Water Services API. We do not generate or estimate data — every reading comes directly from USGS monitoring stations.
If you believe a specific reading is incorrect, please verify with the official USGS Water Data portal (waterdata.usgs.gov) before contacting us. Sensor outages are typically resolved by the USGS field teams and will automatically update on our dashboard once the station comes back online.
